Joefrex · Blind Filter Basket (Backflush)

58mm Blind Portafilter Basket for Espresso Machine Backflushing

Small bar tools and spare parts decide whether a good machine keeps making good coffee. Everything on this page comes from the manufacturer or the product itself. Any specification that doesn't apply to this item, or hasn't been published, is left off rather than guessed.

Match the machine, not the number

A millimetre figure tells you which family a part belongs to. Whether it fits also depends on the group design and the portafilter, and those differ between manufacturers. Two machines listed at the same size can still take different parts. Confirm your exact model before you order.

Check my fit
  • Small parts, every shotBackflushing, distribution, milk and handling happen dozens of times a day. Doing them properly shows up in every cup.
  • Checked against your machineTell us your make and model on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the fit before anything ships.
  • Re-order the exact partWhere a part comes in colours or sizes, each variant has its own SKU, so the replacement matches the one you have.

Is this the right part for you?

Yes, if you

  • Have matched the size and compatibility above to your own machine
  • Are replacing a worn or broken part rather than the whole assembly
  • Want a tool that does one bar job properly, every day
  • Need the same variant again and can quote its SKU

Check with us first if

  • You're choosing on the millimetre figure alone
  • A detail you need isn't listed below; it hasn't been published, so ask
  • You expect one tool to fix inconsistent coffee; grind, dose and fresh beans come first
  • Your machine is under warranty and this part touches the group or portafilter

In the box

  • 1 x 58mm blind filter basket

Looking after it

Insert in portafilter and backflush with espresso machine cleaning tablets or powder, then rinse

Need a detail that isn't listed?Weight, dimensions and origin are often unpublished for small parts. Ask and we'll get the figure from the supplier rather than guess it.

What people ask before buying

Will this fit my machine?
Check the compatibility details on this page first. Size alone isn't a guarantee: fit also depends on the group design and your portafilter, and it can differ between machines listed at the same size. Send us your make and model, or a photo of your portafilter from above, and we'll confirm before you order.
Why isn't every specification listed?
We only publish what the manufacturer or the product itself confirms. Details such as net weight, dimensions or country of origin often aren't published for small tools and spare parts, and a missing line is more useful to you than a wrong one. If a detail matters for your setup, ask and we'll get it from the supplier.
It comes in more than one colour or size. How do I get the right one?
Choose the variant on this page. Each one has its own SKU, shown in the specifications. When you re-order, quote that SKU so the replacement matches the part you already have.
Does it need a particular machine?
Some bar tools only work with certain machines. Backflushing, for example, needs a machine that releases pressure through the group. Where a requirement applies, it's stated under compatible machines. If your machine isn't named, ask before you order.
How should I clean it?
Follow the care instructions on this page where they're given. As a rule, rinse coffee and milk residue off straight after use, keep abrasive pads away from coated surfaces, and only use the dishwasher where the listing says it's safe.
Can I order for a café?
Yes. Tell us how many groups and stations you're equipping and which parts you need, and we'll put the order together with you on WhatsApp.
What if it's the wrong part, or it arrives damaged?
If you change your mind, you can request a return within 3 calendar days of delivery, as long as the item is unused, in its original packaging and in resalable condition. If it arrives damaged or defective, tell us within 7 days and send photos or video of the issue. Returns need our approval first, so start with a message or email to info@scorestore.ae. Sale and clearance items can't be returned unless they're confirmed defective.

What each specification actually does

MaterialStainless steel
Material decides what the part survives. Anything used in a group head or portafilter lives with heat, pressure and cleaning chemicals every day, so it has to stay stable and neutral in taste. Where a material is qualified, for example "vendor stated", that is deliberate: we only state what a source confirms.
Filter holes / blindBlind (no holes)
A blind basket is for cleaning, never for brewing. With no holes, water can't pass through, so the machine pushes cleaner back through the group instead. That only works on machines that release pressure through a three-way solenoid valve; check the compatible machines above.
Size / diameter (mm)58
Sizes are not interchangeable. A 53 mm part will not work in a 58 mm portafilter, or the other way round, even when the machines look alike. Match the figure to your machine model, not to a guess.
Height decides clearance. It matters wherever space is tight: under a group head, inside a portafilter, or between the drip tray and the spouts.
The dose the basket is designed around. Underfill it and the puck sits too low and turns soupy; overfill it and the coffee presses into the shower screen. Stay close to the rated dose and adjust the grind, not the quantity.
This decides how the basket stays in place. Ridged baskets are held by the spring clip inside most spouted portafilters. Ridgeless baskets suit portafilters without a clip, usually bottomless designs. Match it to the portafilter you own.
Stated capacity is the volume to the brim. For milk, the working fill sits well below the spout, because milk expands as it steams. Choose by the drinks you make, not by the millilitre figure.
Spout shape decides how the stream leaves. A sharp, narrow spout gives a fine line you can control; a round, wider spout pours more gently and forgives an unsteady hand.
A coating changes how the surface behaves every day. Non-stick finishes release milk and residue easily. Treat them gently: abrasive pads and metal scrapers wear the coating through.
Marks make the pour repeatable. Filling to the same line every time gives the same volume and the same texture, with less poured away.
Induction hobs only heat magnetic metal. If you plan to heat this on an induction hob, this is the line to check first.
More needles cover the bed in fewer stirs. Fewer needles take more passes but are easier to steer. Either way, stir through the full depth of the basket, not just the surface.
Finer needles break clumps without dragging paths through the grounds. Thicker needles are stiffer and less likely to bend. Very fine needles need a gentler hand.
The handle is what your hand holds hot and wet, many times a day. Its material decides grip, how much heat reaches your fingers and how it ages. Wood wants hand-washing; resin and metal tolerate more.
Length changes leverage and balance. Check it against the space around your machine if clearance at the group is tight.
The working head is what touches the gasket and shower screen. Soft, heat-tolerant materials clean without scratching; stiff bristles move heavy residue but can wear a gasket over time.
Wearing parts sold separately mean you repair instead of replace. It's where the long-term cost of a tool is decided.
The temperature the materials tolerate. Group heads run hot during service, and a tool used above its rating deforms. Stay within the stated figure.
Follow this line exactly, including any rack it names. Dishwasher detergent and hot drying cycles are harder on wood, coatings and soft plastics than hand-washing.

Not sure which part you need?Send a photo of your group head, your portafilter or the part you're replacing. One picture is usually enough for us to match it.
