The Force Tamper (manufacturer KuGuo) · Tamper Handle - optional / replacement part
Rose wood triangle handle for The Force Tamper
The Force Tamper is a modular tool: body, handle and base are separate components you can change yourself. That's what makes it worth owning, and it's also the thing to read carefully before you order, because a base or a handle on its own is a part rather than a complete tamper. Anything the manufacturer hasn't published is left off rather than guessed.

Check what's in the box before you order
The Force Tamper sells its body, handle and bases as separate components, so a listing for one part contains that part only. Read the box contents below and the compatible tamper line: if you don't already own the tamper body, a base or a handle on its own won't tamp anything. If you're building the tool from scratch, tell us and we'll quote the whole set together.
Will it fit what you own?
Two things have to match: the tamper it clips into, and the basket the base has to fill.

User changeable
Yes - handles are user changeable
Send us a photo of your basket with a ruler across it, and the tamper you own, and we'll confirm both the diameter and the fitting before you order.
One tamper, many configurationsChange the base for a different bed profile, or the handle for a different grip, without buying another tool.
Repair instead of replaceA scratched base or a worn handle is a part order, not a new tamper. It's why a modular tool costs less over its life.
We confirm the fit firstTell us your basket and your tamper on WhatsApp and we'll check the diameter and the fitting before anything ships.
Is this the right component for you?
Yes, if you
Already own The Force Tamper body and are changing a component
Have measured your basket and this diameter matches it
Want a second base or handle so you can switch between setups
Are replacing a part that's damaged, scratched or worn
Check with us first if
You don't own the tamper body yet; this listing is a component
You haven't measured your basket and are going by the printed size
Your shots are still inconsistent; grind, dose and distribution come first

What people ask before buying
Is this the complete tamper?
Check the component type and the box contents on this page. The Force Tamper is modular, and its body, handles and bases are sold separately, so a listing for a base or a handle contains that part only. If you're buying the tool for the first time, tell us on WhatsApp and we'll quote the body, the handle and the base you need together.
What diameter do I need?
Measure the internal diameter of your basket at the top; that's the number that matters, not the size printed on your machine. Baskets described as the same size differ slightly between manufacturers, and a base a fraction too small leaves an untamped ring where water will channel. Send us a photo of your basket with a ruler laid across it and we'll confirm the size before you order.
Which base profile should I choose?
Flat is the standard and the safer choice: it compresses evenly and you can see whether you produced a level puck. Convex curves slightly at the centre and can seal the perimeter more firmly. A ripple or patterned base leaves a textured surface intended to spread water across the bed before it drives through. If you're getting edge channelling on a bottomless portafilter despite good distribution, a different profile is worth trying; otherwise flat.
Can I change the base or handle myself?
Yes, that's the point of the design; the interchangeable line on this page states it for this component. Work on a soft surface so the base face can't be scratched if it slips, and don't force a thread. If you'd rather we did it, bring the tamper to the shop.
Will a new base fix my channelling?
It fixes the part caused by a base that doesn't match your basket, and a patterned profile can help with how water spreads. It won't fix channelling caused by stale coffee, a grinder producing very uneven particles, a dose that doesn't suit the basket, or a damaged basket. Send us a video of a bottomless shot and the spray pattern usually tells us which it is.
What if it's the wrong part, or it arrives damaged?
If you change your mind, you can request a return within 3 calendar days of delivery, as long as the item is unused, in its original packaging and in resalable condition. If it arrives damaged or defective, tell us within 7 days and send photos or video of the issue. Returns need our approval first, so start with a message or email to info@scorestore.ae. Sale and clearance items can't be returned unless they're confirmed defective.
What each specification actually does
Handle shapeTriangle - one of four handle shapes (Jelly, Mush, Ball, Triangle)
An ergonomics decision you'll feel every day. Shape decides where your palm sits and whether your wrist stays straight, and a handle that fits your hand is what protects that wrist over hundreds of shots. It's also the most personal choice on the tool, which is why the handles are sold separately in several shapes.
Main materialWood (rose wood)
Material decides weight, feel and how the part is cleaned. Stainless steel is dense and hard-wearing, holds a polished face and stays neutral against coffee oils, which is why bases are made of it. Wood is warm to the touch and lighter in the hand, but it should be wiped rather than soaked and never put through a dishwasher.
Compatible tamperThe Force Tamper - all base sizes
Read this as the scope of the purchase. Components are made for this tamper's own fitting, so they don't transfer to other brands, and the body, handle and base are bought separately. If your tool isn't named here, ask before ordering.
User changeableYes - handles are user changeable
This is what makes the tool worth its price over time. Components you can change by hand mean you adapt the tamper to a new machine or a new basket instead of replacing it, and a damaged part costs a part rather than the whole tool.
Finish / colourReddish brown
Mostly cosmetic, with one practical note. If you're changing one component of a tool you already own, the finish will sit next to the parts you keep, so match it if that matters to you. On a base, what matters more than colour is that the face is truly flat and smooth so it releases without dragging grounds up with it.
